THE Skipton branch of Soroptimist International has been busy collecting items for Christmas shoe boxes which will be distributed by the International Aid Trust to children and adults.
Over 100 boxes have been decorated and filled with toiletries, toys and gifts. tooth paste and tooth brushes, gloves, scarves, hats, soft toys, hair brushes, pens, pencil cases, crayons, etc. Some members have donated these items and others have donated money. Boxes contained items for women, men, babies and children aged two to 17 yeas.
Two Skipton Soroptimist members Barbara Sanderson and Sheila Tattersall have also decorated and filled them. This has completed another 100challenge set by president Rosalie Holroyd for her year in office.
