A FUNDRAISING musical evening to raise funds to help Afghan refugees to re-settle in Skipton, Bradford and Leeds, is to be held on Saturday, October 30.
Organised by the Skipton Refugee Support Group, ‘sing for Afghan refugees’ will feature members of the Pinsuti chamber choir will perform a pot-pourri of American music – spirituals, music by Gershwin and Cole Porter, the ever popular “Over the Rainbow”.
After the interval will come flamenco, Irish ballads and the opportunity to sing along with some favourite songs from the shows.
It will take place in St Andrew’s Church, Newmarket Street, Skipton from 7 pm. Entry is free but there will be a collection, or people can contribute to the JustGiving page “Skipton for Afghanistan”.
