A SILSDEN artist is currently displaying her work in a solo exhibition.
Patricia Oxley’s Work in Process – featuring paintings and digital prints – is showing at the Trapezium Gallery, in Kirkgate, Bradford.
Patricia sometimes digitally enhances traditionally-produced work or merges it with other images – and uses that to produce paintings which are then in turn enhanced and merged to create something new.
Among the paintings on show is one of Silsden woman Mary Bear Taylor, who became a familiar sight during the pandemic running around the town in costume, raising money for charity.
The exhibition was opened by former Keighley MP John Grogan, who said: “This essentially tells the story of two remarkable women from Silsden and what they did in lockdown. Whilst Mary won the hearts of the town with her daily runs in costume, Pat fulfilled her lifetime’s ambition to be an artist.”
Work in Process runs until October 30.
The gallery is open on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, between 11am and 3pm.
