Letter: Christmas gifts appeal
EACH year The Salvation Army provides many children and families with gifts at Christmas, assisted by the generosity of the community.
In Skipton, Isaac’s Working Jewellers, Sheep Street, will kindly act as a collection point for gifts, crackers and wrapping paper.
Also, he has a supply of real advent calendars for sale - either for your family and friends, or to donate to the appeal. Catalogue price is £4.50 but are on sale at £4.20.
Donations of advent calendars should be left before November 24, and Christmas gifts by December 15 to allow time for sorting and distributing. All help will be most gratefully received.
