POLICE and mountain rescue teams are continuing to search the Dales for missing 74 year old David McCartney.
Emergency services, an RAF helicopter and specially trained search dogs have spent the day searching Upper Wharfedale, including Kettlewell, Starbotton and Yockenthwaite.
Mr McCartney was last seen at his home address in Keighley yesterday (Monday). He told his family he was heading on a walking expedition and would be around four to five hours. He travelled to the Craven area in a black Volvo 62 plate V60.
He was last seen wearing a blue kagool, red trousers, a orange and brown striped scarf and he was carrying a red and black rucksack.
A police spokesperson said: "Please keep sharing the appeal and report any current sightings to 999. If you have information which could assist call 101."
