A NEWLY appointed GP at Dyneley House Surgery in Skipton showed a clean pair of heals at the recent Yorkshire Marathon, held in York.

Dr Yasmin Small completed the 26 mile course in three hours and 13 minutes, which qualifies her for a ‘championship’ place at next year’s London Marathon.

Dr Small is a keen park runner which the Dyneley Practice will be supporting in Aireville Park, Skipton on Saturday, November 20 as part of its ‘self-care week activities.

The 5k Skipton Park Run takes place every Saturday at 9am. Around 150 people take part every weekend, completing four and bit laps of the park, on its surfaced paths.

The average finishing time is 28 minutes and 39 seconds; so far the run has been held 361 times in Skipton, and 10, 169 people have achieved ‘personal best’ times.

People are welcome to walk, jog or run. or just go along and help out.

It is free to enter, but those taking part are asked to register before taking part for the first time. Participants only need to register once.
