SKIPTON Town AFC Ladies debuted their brand new home kit in a top-of-the-table clash at the weekend.
But the hosts just missed out on the three points in a 2-1 loss against Leeds United Under 21s.
A record crowd were treated to a fantastic game of football on Sunday afternoon though as Skipton welcomed the current league leaders.
With both teams tied on points, this was a crunch match, and Skipton started the game brightly, with a header from Holly Morgan cleared off the line.
An injury to central midfielder, Harriet Persson Brewer, meant a change in personnel for Skipton.
The game remained close, but Leeds broke the deadlock first after a mistake at the back from Skipton meant the visitors ran through on goal and went into half time a goal up.
But some fantastic link-up play for Skipton in the second half saw Holly Morgan flick the ball on for Corina Riley, who drove the ball into the back of the net and Skipton were level.
In the final five minutes, Leeds capitalised on some loose defending from Skipton at a corner, with a strike from the edge of the area to seal the victory.
