SKIPTON man Marley Bryan Kent was sent to prison for the assault by beating of two police officers and a third man in Aireville Park, Skipton.
Kent, 28, of Jubilee Close, admitted the assault of emergency workers, police officers Owen Price and Joshua Snaith at the park on August 8.
He also admitted to the assault by beating of Jordan Preston and to the attempt possession in Skipton of cocaine, a class A drug
Magistrates at Harrogate sentenced him to two months in prison for the assault on Pc Price, and four for the assault on Pc Snaith. He was also sentenced to two months for the assault on Mr Preston, the sentences to run concurrently. He will also have to pay a surcharge of £128, there was no order for costs because of the immediate prison sentence, and no separate penalty for the drugs offence.
Magistrates ordered that the drug be forfeited and destroyed.
