CROSS Hills Social Club has raised over £1,000 for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice in Oxenhope through hosting a charity fundraiser.

Held at the club in October, the event saw guests enjoy food, drink and live entertainment from two local singers - Paul K James and Lina. There were also tombolas for both adults and children.

In total £1,031 was raised for the hospice, which provides expert palliative care, advice and support to local people living with life-limiting conditions, as well as supporting their families.

Barry Reay, Treasurer of Cross Hills Social Club, said: “I’d like to thank the members, the friends of the club, suppliers and everyone that helped to raise the funds for Manorlands at the recent event.”

Liv Moffat, community fundraiser at Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice, said: “A big thank you to Cross Hills Social Club for organising this brilliant event. Every pound raised will help to support our vital palliative care and bereavement support.”
