THE Aire Valley Rail Users Group (AVRUG) is holding its AGM on Saturday, November 27 in Saltaire Methodist Church at 1.30pm. Anyone who has an interest in local rail services is welcome.
There will also be the annual meeting of Friends of Airedale Line.
Their aim is to promote links with communities along the line. It will facilitate the adoption of local stations, through the new Northern scheme. Stations can become community hubs as well as departure points.
There will be a guest speaker, Pete Myers, from Northern Rail. He will talk about current plans for local rail services.
Tim Calow, of AVRUG said: “We will have a chance to discuss what the new Integrated Rail Plan might mean for our rail services.”
