THE Castleberg Lodge of Freemasons in Settle was recently able to draw from the Yorkshire West Riding Provincial Grand Master’s Fund for a grant of £2,700 which has been donated to the Clapham-based Cave Rescue Organisation.
On receipt of the cash the CRO’s Jonty Rhodes expressed the gratitude of all in the organisation for the valuable assistance this gave in upgrading their communication equipment to make searches more efficient and help to speed up the crucial service they provide both at home in Craven and beyond.
He said the organisation, run by volunteers, is funded entirely by donations and this was a very great help to them.
