SKIPTON Craven Rotary Club says Santa is looking forward to his sleigh visits this Christmas after missing out last year.

The man in red will be returning to the streets to bring some smiles to children's (and adults) faces on the following dates.

These areas are only a guide and as many adjacent streets as possible will be visited.

Wednesday Dec 8 - Carleton Rd/Carleton Close & Avenue - Burnside.

Thursday 9th - Carleton.

Friday10th - Moorview Way to Hurrs Road.

Monday 13th - Sackville St/Castle St and roads off/Ermysted St/Sunmoor Drive

Tuesday 14th - Horse Close

Wednesday 15th - Greatwood/Aldersley Avenue

Thursday16th - Princess Drive/Regent/Green Acres/Overdale Grange.

Friday 17th - Bradley

Monday 20th - Granville Street/The Raikes/Raikswood Rd/Raikes Rd/Tarn Moor.

Wednesday 22nd - Gargrave Rd/Gainsborough Court/Woodlands Drive/Rockwood Drive.

Thursday 23rd - Embsay.

Rotarian Bryan Ayton said: "He will start at 5.45pm and will aim to finish by 8pm. Any changes due to bad weather or other circumstances will be on the club’s website. We will have to operate differently this year in that there will be no access to the sleigh for anyone and we ask that people stay on the pavement to allow Santa to maintain a safe distance when talking to the children."
