A FORMER pub landlord charged with arson at The Old Swan Inn, Gargrave, had his case adjourned by Skipton Magistrates.
Timothy Charles Sharp, 54, is charged with arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered at the pub in High Street Gargrave on July 7 last year.
He stands accused of committing arson in that without lawful excuse he destroyed by fire the pub, belonging to the Ei Group, intending to destroy or damage property, or being reckless as to whether property would be destroyed or damaged; and being reckless as to whether the life of another would be damaged.
Sharp, of Waverley Terrace, Ramsey, Isle of Man, had been due to appear at Skipton Magistrates Court on Friday. His case was adjourned until December 17.
