A SKIPTON based children's charity has launched an appeal to make sure children hospitalised over the festive season receive a Christmas gift.
The Principle Trust Children's Charity has teamed up with Airedale Hospital and Community Charity in appealing to people for donations of toys, puzzles, books and pens to distribute to young patients over the festive holiday.
The trust, which provides free respite holidays for disabled and disadvantaged children, has also enlisted support from kind-hearted staff at SCAPA Healthcare in Gargrave and Skipton based safeguarding software specialists CPOMS Systems Ltd.
Kerry Magson from The Principle Trust Children’s Charity said:"We’re calling on the generous people of Skipton and outlying areas to donate new gifts such as toys, books and colouring packs and help us bring joy to children who will be spending their Christmas in Airedale Hospital."
Donations can be dropped off until Friday, December 10 at the Charity’s Headquarters at Principle Healthcare, opposite The Range store in Airedale Business Centre, Skipton.
