BENTHAM Pet Rescue is searching for a new home – and is putting out a call out for help.

For many years, the charity, which mainly homes cats, has used the homes of its two main volunteers; but after 20 years, during which time thousands of cats have been re-homed, the volunteers are stepping down to a well earned retirement.

It is looking for somewhere it can rent or buy where it can put up its own buildings, or an outhouse or barn, suitable to house cats temporarily.

Philip Ware, chair of BPR, said: “We have been looking for quite a long time already, but so far nothing suitable has arisen. Ideally, we are looking for something within a 10-mile radius of Ingleton”

The charity is also looking for cat fosterers. Email: kath@hw-services.co.uk
