THORNTON Hall Country Park has prevailed at Lancashire Business View’s 11th annual Red Rose Awards, winning the Tourism, Leisure and Hospitality Award.
Event founder Richard Slater, also the publisher of Lancashire Business View magazine, said: “The Red Rose Awards are very hotly contested, so Thornton Hall Country Park should be very proud that it has seen off all the competition to win this award.
Businesses from the length and breadth of the county vied for titles across a range of categories, with only the best of the best, as selected by a panel of expert judges, progressing through to the shortlist and a rigorous interview stage before being rewarded for their excellence.
One of the judges described the country park as: “A passionate and innovative business that has created attractions and a wide range of experiences for all that visit.
“Each member of the team contributes to the success and high reputation that has attracted so many positive reviews and national press attention. An absolute jewel in the Lancashire tourism crown.”
Long-standing ITV weather presenter Emma Jesson compered the evening, with entertainment from MH Productions, HONK Lancashire’s youth street band and The Tracks.
Headline sponsors for the event were Forbes Solicitors and Barclays.
