STARGAZERS in Settle was a scene from this year’s Christian Unity service in Settle Parish Church. The service was written by Christians in the Middle East on the theme, ‘We Saw His Star in the East’ and reflected their hopes for light and peace after years of conflict and strife.
In Settle, stars were handed to people on arrival who were encouraged to write and place their own hopes for peace in 2022.
Chair of Churches Together, Rev Stephen Dawson, said it was very moving to share with Christians in the Middle East and thanked John Diggles and his team for live-streaming the event to people who are isolating.’ It can be seen at www.settlechurchestube.org.uk
Churches Together in Settle and District held their Week of Prayer service on Sunday 23 January 23 at Holy Ascension Church, Settle, where the new Churches Together stand-up poster was displayed.
