GRAY Bridge in Horton-in-Ribblesdale is to be fully closed for a month for structural repairs by North Yorkshire County Council Highways.
Residents north of the bridge will have to follow a diversion via Ingleton to reach areas south of the village in their vehicles, such as Settle or beyond while the closure remains in place.
The closure is due to start on February 28 and continue until March 25.
The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority is providing parking spaces in Horton-in-Ribblesdale car park for those who live north of the bridge until the work is completed.
To apply for a temporary permit email: - Linda.Stafford@yorkshiredales.org.uk or telephone 01756 751636.
The parish council has placed a notice on its website giving details.
