DEVELOPERS Candelisa and Skipton Properties have seen success at the LABC Excellence Awards.
The Motor Works at Cononley, developed by Candelisa, was highly commended for a national award at a ceremony in London for the ‘Best High Volume New Housing Development’ which is for schemes of 100 residential units and above.
The multi award-winning scheme previously won the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Yorkshire Regional award and ‘Best large development of the year’ at the 2021 Yorkshire Residential Property Awards.
Guy Taylor. Candelisa’s Managing Director, said; “We are delighted that this large and complex scheme has been recognised.”
Meanwhile The Rise, in Harden, built by Skipton Properties was awarded ‘Best Medium Volume New Housing Development 2021”.
The Rise - was a nod to its difficult topography as the site, formerly coal sheds, sloped very steeply upward, which presented a significant challenge.
Lorna Stimpson, LABC chief executive said: “The Rise saw very effective communication, especially given that a sizeable portion of the work took place out during the pandemic.”
