AFTER two years of Covid delays, Long Preston May Day committee is happy to announce it is now seeking past May Queens to help with this year’s 50th celebrations.
Fingers are crossed for a sunny day for the event on Saturday, May 7. This has been on hold for the past two years but planning is now well under way for this year with all the stops being pulled out to make it a memorable occasion for the village and the chance for past attendees to reunite.
The committee is aiming to put together a souvenir programme and would like previous Long Preston May Queens over the past five decades to share their own personal memories of their day.
If you are a past May Queen or know a May Queen from Long Preston, please can you help spread this appeal?
