THE Old Swan at Gargrave is due to re-open next month - 19 months after it was devastated by fire.

The Classic Inns pub, part of the Stonegate Group, has been fully refurbished since the fire which severely damaged the listed building in July, 2020.

It is now due to re-open on Thursday, March 10 and is currently advertising for 14 members of staff, from a head of house and kitchen team leader to bar staff and a cleaner.

An announcement on the Classic Inns website says it is ready to welcome back customers.

"A recently refurbished pub with hotel rooms. Serving great food and wide range of drinks.

"Dog and kid friendly, the perfect place to stop off during a hike or bike ride around Gargrave, Malham, Grassington, Ribblehead and The Three Yorkshire Peaks

"We look forward to welcoming you at the bar."

The website continues that the pub has five ensuite rooms 'named after the local mountains and rivers' - Aire, Wharfe, Ingleborough, Ribble and Whernside.
