STEAM train fanatics were treated to a close-up of the 6233 Duchess of Sutherland as she rolled into Hellifield Station on time on Friday to park in the sidings overnight ready for the Cumbrian Mountaineer Tour along the Settle Carlisle line on Saturday.
The locomotive was resplendent in her burgundy livery as she was met by photographers at the station. As an added treat those waiting for her watched a freight of logs go past.
There were plenty of people waiting to see her at Ribblehead too as she made her way across the viaduct.
