AN ‘Art in the Dale -new perspectives on landscape in Malhamdale' exhibition is taking place from May 6 to 16 at St Michael’s Church, Kirkby Malham. This exhibition will draw together work from Katharine Holmes, David and Heather Cook, Beverley Hicks, Sarah Roche, Stephen Waterhouse, Fiona Armer, Mark Pilkington, and David Bridges.

There will be a wide range of original work on display, and for sale, including paintings, collage, etchings, drawings, feltwork, and photography. Some of our artists have been working with pupils at Kirkby-in-Malhamdale Primary School, so the exhibition will include pieces made by the children as well.

Many of the artists taking part will be in attendance at weekends.

There will also be live music during some of the weekend afternoon sessions, including Jon Moreman and his jazz friends at the opening event, 4pm to 6pm on Saturday May 7. John Skilleter and the Cello Group will be playing earlier that afternoon, Rombald's Strings will be playing in the afternoon on Sunday 8th May, and local cellist Christine Dittman and her string quartet ‘Ings Strings’ will be playing on Saturday May 14, during the afternoon and finishing with a special evening concert at 7pm that day.
