HOUSEBUILDER Skipton Properties has been named Housebuilder of the Year 2022 at the Construction Excellence Awards, an independent awards ceremony open to all construction companies across the country.

The awards recognise individual and team excellence, and identify companies that set the gold standard in the construction sector.

The National Federation of Builders (NFB) established the Awards, which were judged independently and chaired by Lord Stunell.

The award judges said that in a very strong category, Skipton Properties delivered outstanding projects of high quality with an acute awareness of both environmental and social factors - and also built on difficult sites which other developers wouldn’t have wanted to touch.

In the past few years Skipton Properties have taken on some every difficult developments, including regeneration projects at St Stephens Place in Skipton, as well as sites with either steep topography or where water runs right through the development.

Skipton Properties gained a further award to its name just this last year at the LABC’s People and Place Awards. The company won Best Medium Volume New Housing Development at their development The Rise, Harden, as well as two finalist positions. One for their development, The School House, in Barnoldswick and for one of their long-serving team, site manager, Lee Hinton.
