NOW, here is an uncommon sight - a yellowhammer.
Roger Nelson, who took the photograph, says the birds were once a common sight in the Yorkshire Dales up until about 50 years ago, but are now found only around the arable fringes.
Yellowhammers, along with the curlew and hen harrier, are on the UK Birds of Conservation Concern Red List, meaning they are in critical decline.
