INTERESTING to read that the eternal problem of waste collection was discussed by North Yorks at a meeting (Calls to introduce European style waste collections, April 21).
All Craven residents see the collection wagons struggling daily to negotiate small streets full of parked cars and other obstructions.
In January 2014, I wrote to Craven Council regarding the adoption of underground rubbish skips in suitable locations, had they implemented this strategy at that time most of the investment would have been repaid by now.
This system of waste collection needs to be incorporated into any future new housing planning applications.
