FIRST and foremost a sincere thank you to all those residents of the Skipton East and South wards of Skipton who voted at the council elections of May 5.
Yes it was a low turnout but that was to be expected with all the slagging off and distrust between the political parties at Westminster spilling over into our local elections.
A very special mention to the 640 who supported my successful candidature. Only just enough but perhaps a finely judged campaign!
It is now onwards and upwards with the immense task of representing all residents and businesses of Skipton East and South.
