PLANS to change the use of an empty warehouse off Swadford Street, Skipton to three residential apartments have been approved by Craven District Council.
The scheme, by Chapel Allerton Investments, will involve a small extension to the warehouse, already partly converted to residential use.
The area to be converted is the ground floor next to the side of existing shops. The ground and first floor of the former warehouse to the east and first floor above has previously been converted to residential flats.
To the immediate south is Waller Hill Beck. To the north is the service yard of the
shopping centre and the existing resident’s car parking.
Skipton Town Council has objected to the scheme stating it had: 'concerns over overpopulating an already densely populated area and lack of parking.’
