ALFRED Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train will round off the season for Skipton Film Club at the town's Plaza Cinema on Sunday, June 5.
Directed by the master of suspense in 1951, the thriller remains one of the best films ever made.
Based on Patricia Highsmith’s debut novel, the film is a psychological thriller that starts with the chance meeting of two men – who both have reason to get rid of a woman in their lives.
What starts off as a light, if off key idea, becomes darker as the film progresses, as their impulses lead to plans for murder.
It is the first time a Hitchcock film has been played by the film club.
Strangers on a Train will be screened at The Plaza, Skipton at 5.15pm on June 5. Find Skipton Film Club on Facebook.
