VISITORS to the historic Raikes Road burial ground in Skipton on Saturday, June 4 will be given an insight into the former doctors and 'druggists' buried there during Victorian times.
A spokesperson for the Friends of Raikes Road Burial Ground said: "The guided tours should not be missed, and will take place at 11am and 2pm, this month with the accent on the doctors and druggists of Raikes Road.
"We do have a record of some of the burials which have taken place there, and we would be happy to help people with their family research if they have names and dates to help."
The burial ground will be open on June 4 from 10.30am to 3pm, entry is free, but donations will be welcomed to help with the upkeep of the area. Visitors are advised to wear stout shoes.
There will also be open days on July 2, August 6, September 10 and October 8.
