ACTOR and singer Su Pollard is heading to Settle Victoria Hall on Sunday, June 12 as part of a national tour.

'An evening with Su Pollard' will see Su talk about her career on television and on the stage and will also include her answering questions from the audience.

After making her television debut on Opportunity Knocks, when she was runner up to a singing Jack Russell dog, she went on to appear in the hugely popular BAFTA award winning Hi-De-Hi, playing Peggy. She also appeared in Two Up Two Down, You Rang M’Lord, as well as many other television, radio and stage shows, and was the subject of This Is Your Life.

American songwriter and performer Chris Smither, on Saturday, June 11, has been playing folk and blues for more than 50 years. His music draws deeply from the blues, American folk music, modern poets and humanist philosophers.

Leading celtic guitarist, Tony McManus, on Wednesday, June 15, has just been listed as one of the 50 transcendental guitarists of all time by Guitar Player Magazine.

While he is known as a soloist, his frequent collaborations with diverse musicians have always been a significant part of his work.
