WORLD known singer,Tony Christie, is due to perform at Settle Victoria Hall on Friday, June 17.

In a career spanning five decades, Tony Christie has recorded million selling albums and singles, such as 'Is this the way to Amarillo' and 'Avenues and Alleyways' and performed in the world's best known arenas and major festivals including Glastonbury.

His appearance in Settle, with his band, is part of a new 'greatest hits' tour with his band.

Also coming up at Victoria Hall is a live screening from the Bridge Theatre, London, of David Hare's new play, Straight Line Crazy on Thursday, June 16.

Nicholas Hytner directs the play which has Ralph Fiennes leading the cast in David Hare’s 'blazing' account of the most powerful man in New York, Robert Moses, a master manipulator whose legacy changed the city forever.

Northern Ballet's Merlin, choreographed by Olivier Award-winning Drew McOnie (Broadway's King Kong and Baz Luhrmann's Strictly Ballroom), will be screened on Tuesday, June 21.

Uncle Vanya, staring Aimee Lou Wood and Toby Jones, and filmed at the Harold Pinter Theatre, London in August 2020, will be screened on Wednesday, June 22.
