THE nimble-fingered work of the anonymous Barlick Yarn Fairies was admired in Barnoldswick and posted on Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson’s social media pages.
Mr Stephenson had come across a pillar box topper crocheted by the ‘fairies’ in commemoration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The unknown crafters had created several toppers which they placed around town in the dead of night and even as far away as Bolton Abbey, much to the delight of the Bolton Abbey Estate.
Mr Stephenson was particularly taken with this one which bore the initials ER and displayed a golden crown.
