A PUB is seeking full planning permission to build a single-bedroomed letting facility in its beer garden.

The application for the building has been lodged with the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority for the Queens Arms pub, in Litton.

The application was lodged on June 1 and states: "The proposal is a small detached new build structure located within the beer garden to provide one additional lettable bedroom with ensuite toilet and bathroom facilities to enhance and broaden the guest accommodation only that is available at the pub.

"There will be no kitchen or dining facilities within this suite other than tea and coffee making facilities as meals will be taken in the pub dining room.

"The new bedroom annex is sited adjacent to the Northern boundary of the garden on a little used grassed area at the rear of the garden. It sits comfortably between two existing outbuildings of the pub. One in the North East corner of the garden which is an old external toilet and the other behind the North East corner of the pub which is an external coal/ log store."
