WINTER Wilson - folk with a touch of the blues - is coming to Skipton Little Theatre on Sunday, July 10.
Pre-Covid, Winter Wilson, made up of singer-songwriters, Kip Winter and Dave Wilson, had completed tours of Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and most of Western Europe, in addition to the UK.
Their eight studio albums had all received rave reviews, and 2019’s “Live & Unconventional” - recorded on tour with folk-rock icons Fairport Convention and on
stage at Cropredy Festival - was no different.
Back home in Lincolnshire throughout the pandemic, the pair streamed “Live from the Lounge” for 60 consecutive weeks and also wrote and recorded “The Passing of the Storm”, their tenth album, adding to their reputation as writers, singers and musicians, and all-round entertainers.
Now performing new songs alongside old favourites, Kip and Dave Wilson say they are
thrilled to be back on the road.
Their latest album, The Passing of the Storm, has been described as ‘sure to please’ and ‘unmissable’.
“We hope this album is good representation of what we do,” said Dave. “A mix of the serious and the lighthearted, but always aiming to engage and entertain.”
Winter Wilson is at Skipton Little Theatre, Clifford Street, at 7.30pm on July 10. Book online at: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/skiptonlittletheatre/t-ojlynoo, telephone 0752 714 1176 or skipton.little.theatre@gmail.com
Coming up at Skipton Little Theatre in August is Willy Russell’s Educating Rita; which tells the story of university lecturer, Frank, who agrees to tutor Open University student, a brash hairdresser with a recently discovered passion for higher education.
