PLANS to convert a former church in Romille Street, Skipton, back to its original use as three homes, have been submitted to Craven District Council.
In submissions to the council, the applicant's agent states that it is clear that the former Skipton Spiritualist Church was formed from three of the houses in the traditional terrace of homes.
"It is evident from the design of the building that walls were removed so as to form the space required for the church."
No demolition is proposed or extension work, and the terrace is not listed.
Minor changes to the front are proposed, including the change of a window back to a door, and the removal of a central door to create a passageway to a communal outside area. Cement render at the front will also be removed.
