THE Rev Peter Thomas spent a morning recently at Lothersdale Primary School talking to a group of year six, 10 and 11 year olds.

With the end of term fast approaching and the long summer holidays ahead, Rev Thomas, from Grassington, talked to the children about transition to secondary school later in the year and their well-being.

He has been a regular visitor to the school over many years and each of the children have benefitted from his work, assemblies and RE days.

At the end of the session, they enjoyed some tasty treats, courtesy of Love Brownies of Grassington.

Rev Thomas is the minister of the Congregational Church in Grassington.

For several years he has worked with more than 20 schools in Craven both at primary and at secondary level, leading assemblies, RE days and bible studies.

His work helps schools, teachers and youth workers deliver the RE curriculum.
