I WOULD like, through your letters page, to say what a fantastic job the lads are doing re-laying the cobbles and flags in Victoria Street and Square by the shops. They are all pleasant lads and have caused very little disruption to the residents and public.

My only concern is that they are not doing the pavement down Victoria Street in front of our flats. These flags are lethal in wet or snowy weather. besides being broken, loose and cracked, they are uneven; mostly caused by cars parking on them.

I am disabled and rely heavily on my scoter to get from A to B. It's an absolute nightmare. No matter which way I go I have to negotiate either cobbles or broken flags which shake me up every day.

Please could you, through your paper, get someone to accept responsibility for them before they case a bad accident for somebody? I slipped on the flags two years ago and broke my right wrist.
