SOUTH Craven Walking 4 Health (SCW4H) group was welcomed for a special morning of walks by Bolton Abbey Estates.

Arranged by Andrea Dalton, SCW4H walk programme organiser, and Moira Smith, Bolton Abbey Estates visitor manager, over 40 walkers walked the riverside paths and woods.

Andrea said: “Our walks are all about promoting health and wellbeing and Bolton Abbey is a great place for this. We specifically run our group to enable those who would not be confident to walk on their own, to build confidence and improve their mobility. Walking on such well-kept paths in stunning scenery has been enjoyed by all.

“We have been made very welcome by the estate staff and are grateful for their support in enabling this to happen.” SCW4H is affiliated to North Yorkshire Sport and the national Ramblers Wellbeing Walks offering four different levels of walk each Monday ranging from around a mile to 3.5 miles.
