THREE friends from Kildwick Primary School have been on their bikes as part of a Save the Children fundraiser in aid of Ukrainian children.
The two-wheeling trio of Ralph Gillard, Seth Musgrove and Rex Musgrove, all aged nine set off on June 18 and cycled from Leeds to Kildwick to raise money for the charity.
The friends had been worried about the effects of war on the children of Ukraine and wanted to raise a few pounds to help a good charity who are supporting children from Ukraine. To raise sponsorship they have handed out leaflets at school, knocked on neighbours doors and asked all friends and family to support them. The trio heroically completed the ride in around four hours and were rewarded with a well-earned ice cream break at Five Rise Locks.
The boys hae already raised over £1,600. Anyone wishing to donate can go to: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/seth-ralph
