IT'S been a busy time for Lothersdale young farmers' club. The club recently held its dinner dance presentation evening at Steeton hall and a duck race at Sutton Village Hall.

The club is also in full preparation for the annual Young Farmers' Show which is held in the field next to the old chapel in Lothersdale on Saturday, July 9, gates open at 12.30pm.

Both of these annual events have been absent for the last two years owing to covid restrictions. Schedules are now available please contact the club on 07904 345480 or find us on Facebook with any enquires.

The club is looking forward to having a great show with plenty of classes to enter, from baking and handicrafts to sheep and vintage tractors. They will also have dog classes which can be entered on the day.

At the presentation evening annual trophies were presented by club president David Airey. Some of the trophies awarded went to: junior girls points Emily Smith, junior boys points Henry Wade, Inter girls points Frances Wade, Inter boys points Daniel Dobson, senior girls points Megan Hall, senior boys points Andy Haythornthwaite, best newcomer Zac Jones, sports personality Megan Booth, the Cedric Throup memorial dish Andy Haythornthwaite.
