Police appeal for witnesses
A SERIOUS assault took place in Skipton last week and police are seeking witnesses to come forward.
It occurred along the canal towpath near Belmont Bridge at around 11.20pm last Friday, June 24.
Police are appealing for people who were in this area around this time to come forward.
A man in his 20s sustained serious hand injuries which required hospital treatment.
