Fancy Dress walk around in Horse Close in the early 1950s
THIS old photograph has been brought to us by M Barnwell and is of a Fancy Dress walkaround in Horse Close, Skipton, in the early 1950s.
We particularly like the child dressed as a television set with a picture of the Queen during her coronation in 1953.
There will have been no shop-bought costumes in those days with most of what the youngsters are wearing being lovingly created by nimble-fingered parents and grandparents.
