TENANTS are still being sought for a long-established Dales pub which has been sitting empty for well over a year.
The Cross Keys, at East Marton, situated near the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, came on the letting market in April 2021 after the previous tenant left.
Since then there have been no takers and the premises is currently being marketed by London-based Fleurets which has offices in Leeds.
A spokesperson for Fleurets said: “The pub is a long established drive-to destination which has traded very strongly up until recently, when the tenant exited the business. They had traded it very successfully for food and built up a strong reputation and good following.
“The landlord is now looking to re-let the property on ‘free of tie’ terms. Given the location this represents an excellent opportunity to capitalise on the strong drive-to food market in this area. The property itself offers a beer garden with views over the canal and decked area to the front. There is a high level of tourists in the area year-round visiting the Dales and the nearby town of Skipton and the site also attracts passing trade.”
