High sliding in Aireville Park
ANYONE remember these high slides? They were so high up they had a protective cage at the top.
This one had just been unveiled at Aireville Park, Skipton, 70 years ago, in August, 1952. The Craven Herald snapper had got as many kids as possible on it - and very precarious it looks too.
Reproduction is not brilliant, but it is possible to see the joy on the children's faces.
