ROLES for eight young people who want to live and work in the countryside are being offered by the Clapham based charity, The Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust.

The charity’s apprenticeship programme, which is supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery, provides opportunities for young people to work with a local employer and gain hands-on experience in managing our natural heritage.

Apprentices learn important life skills, enhancing their prospects at the end of their apprenticeship, alongside improving their physical and mental health.

YDMT has six roles available within their apprenticeship programme and two trainee roles, offering opportunities to learn about and help deliver the charity’s projects to support the people, biodiversity and landscape in the Yorkshire Dales.

One trainee will be based with the YDMT team and receive training in all aspects of YDMT's charitable work.A second will join the YDMT woodland team.
