THE Court House Kids, the junior arm of Settle Amateur Operatic Society, is excited to announce that in October it will be bringing people the world of Bugsy Malone to Settle Victoria Hall.

The lively, exciting group,says it is looking forward to welcoming back old faces after two years of coronavirus lockdown and meeting up with some new ones as well.

Rehearsals for the lively gangster musical will take place every Monday and Wednesday evening from 6pm to 8pm, and most Sundays from11am to 2pm at the Victoria Hall.

The group’s Pat Harding said: “All kids from eight to 18 years old are welcome as long as they can sing, learn lines and work with direction, fitting in with our ethos and other kids.”

The first get together for former and new members is due to take place at The Old Courthouse, Station Road, Settle on Monday, September 5 from 6pm to 8pm.

Pat added: “We can’t wait to get going and put together another great show with 1920s glam.”

Bugsy Malone is due to be performed at Settle Victoria Hall from October 26 to October 29.

The annual young people’s summer school is due to take place from August 9 to August 12 at Victoria Hall. It will take place every day from 10am to 4pm and will include workshops in song, dance, theatre, set design, costumes and also sound and lights.
