THE inquests into the deaths of a helicopter pilot and his passenger, who died when the craft they were in crashed, are due to open at Northallerton Coroner's Court on August 2.
Pilot and Burton in Lonsdale resident Ian Macdonald, 66, and Admasu Birhan Tefera, 16, a German student staying with a family in the area, were killed in the incident just before midday on June 20.
The helicopter crashed crashed into a field off Bentham Road, Burton in Lonsdale, prompting an immediate and huge multi emergency services response to the district.
It is understood the craft was returning to the village after a flight from Barrow-in-Furness, according to flight data.
