HETTON based fine artist Brian Burton will be staging a new exhibition this month of paintings inspired by rivers of the Dales at Mill Bridge Gallery, Skipton.
Themes and Variations will feature abstract paintings inspired by Gordale Scar, Malham Cove and The Strid at Bolton Abbey.
In the past two years Craven Arts member Brian has held solo exhibitions at Craven Arts pop-up Hub Gallery in Skipton, but this will be his first exhibition at the Mill Bridge Gallery.
He said: "There is always an extra challenge displaying your work in a new space. The confines, the light, the whole atmosphere are different each time and can bring about a unique take on the images themselves which can surprise even me."
The exhibition will run from Thursday, August 11 to August 27. The gallery is open from 11am to 4pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
