THIS wonderful picture of a pair of young little owls on Hazlewood Crags, near Bolton Abbey, was taken by Roger Nelson.
The small owl was introduced to the UK in the 19th century, says the RSPB.
It can be seen in the daylight, usually perching on a tree branch, telegraph pole or rock.
It bobs its head up and down when alarmed and likes to eat small mammals and birds, beetles and worms.
